Natural

No Plastic

We don’t make any rubbish – no plastic packaging, nothing goes in the bin – any waste we make goes to compost the garden, naturally, how it always should be

No Rubbish

All our food comes in fresh from the farm – no stickers, no tape, no wrappers, no packaging – we only use reusable containers and you’re welcome to use your own

No Waste

The waste we make are simple off-cuts that we compost and create healthy soils to feed back the garden important nutrients (food waste should never go in the bin)

Nature is the Only Way

Australia throws away over 7.3 million tonnes of food waste per year, and that excellent resource goes to complete waste in landfill where it cannot decompose naturally.

Squashed in with different plastics, synthetic materials, general waste, and animal products, it slowly decays in a toxic environment without natural microbes from soil, and then off-gasses, spewing out carbon dioxide (CO2), as well as methane (CH4) – a gas 25 times more potent than CO2.

Organic food waste belongs in the soil where it feeds microbes, breaks down to regenerate organic matter, and helps avert pollution. It’s a simple plan that works perfectly – close the circle. Food that is grown in the ground, can return to the ground. Naturally.

Mother Nature does not
throw away rubbish

Plastics like polyethylene, polyester, polystyrene, all single-serving plastics, bags, bottles, packets, wrappers, tubs, cups, jugs, virtually all varieties of packaging can hardly be reformed after one use, and never really gets a chance to be recycled ever again with less than 5% being sorted, it all goes to landfill or is dumped in the ocean instead.

There is no efficient recycling program in Australia. Ipswich City Council were going to remove their recycling bins recently to save on costs but the community pushed back – even though there is no recycling, people feel like “something” is happening if there are recycling bins. Redcycle in Woolworths and Coles shut down because it couldn’t do anything, recycling is a lie.

The world used to ship their trash to China to burn but they introduced the National Sword program and clean air policies in 2018 so now it’s diverted to South East Asian countries and parts of Africa to dump and burn, if not already clogging up landfills and oceans.

Ancient subsurface oils are dredged up and pollute, synthesised into toxic polymers to carry junk food around for a minute, and then left to the winds and water for thousands of years, piling up. It goes on to kill bird and marine life, eventually breaking down into microplastics, now found all over the world, on the highest mountain tops and in the lowest canyons of the ocean. So prevalent, an average human now digests a credit card’s worth of microplastics each week, flowing through our bloodstream and is typically found lodged in organs including the placenta.

There’s a much better way – natural, healthy, organic.
